Maximilian Montessori Academy (MMA) is a private school, founded in 1988, which serves Owensboro and the surrounding area. We educate children from preschool through the completion of the high school years.
The basic premise of the Montessori philosophy of education is that all children carry within them the adults they will become. In order to develop their physical, intellectual and spiritual abilities to the fullest, they must have freedom--a freedom achieved through order and self-discipline.
Our student body is comprised of children of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds. The Montessori method is not just for gifted children or special needs children; it is for every child!
